Tanja und Denis Katzer are famous for their expeditions on E-Bikes. Their newest route has led them to the northern lights in the far north. Due to the corona virus the three had postponed the start of the second stage of their E-Bike-Expedition. Despite this they have been drawn back out into the world.
Tanja and Denis Katzer with Ajaci on E- Bikes to the northern lights
Tanja, Dennis and their travel companion Ajaci have always wanted to see the northern lights live. As travel in Norway and Sweden became possible again, they spontaneously decided to make this dream come true. That means loading the new Riese & Müller E-Bikes onto their offroad caravan and cruising for 3 months through Norway and Sweden to the north pole! For years the couple have been using the MAGURA brakes from Germany. In order to brake with the heavy packs and all-terrain E-Bikes, they use the powerful 4-piston MT5 braking system.
The northern lights can only been viewed well at above 60 degrees of latitude. A long journey lies ahead of them. Who knows perhaps they will be lucky enough to see the northern lights reflected off of a whales wet back as it swims in the artic ocean? Or will they be completely alone on the north pole?
